Supporting and engaging with our local community is a vital part of the groups activities. We run or support a number of community events both for the local community and the scouting community. Alongside this we encourage our young people to get involved with the community through a diverse range of activities, we do everything from Litter Picking along the river (in kayaks and canoes), to carol singing at Christmas and everything in between!

Remembrance Day
In November we attend the Remembrance Day Parade to Gigg’s Hill Green in Thames Ditton, where we share the service with The Dittons Scout Group. We’re now starting to see young representatives from local schools and other youth organisations joining us at the war memorial for our service. These are beautiful and solemn occasions, where we pay our respects to those who gave their lives for our freedom.
